Below is the email I sent out this morning with my plea for help. Will you join me?
Every hour someone is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a chronic disease of the central nervous system affecting the brain and spinal cord. When I talk to one of the 400,000 people who have the disease of Multiple Sclerosis, I realize how much I take for granted. MS does not care if you are a man or a woman, what your race is, whether your parents had it, or how old you are. The disease can strike anyone.
On September 12 & 13, I will be riding 150 miles in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Waves to Wine Bike Ride to help raise awareness and money to help end this terrible disease.
I have ridden in this event for several years and seen directly the people we have helped - it really makes a difference.
Our goal this year is to raise $1.75MM and we are only a third of the way there today. Even $5 or $10 is helpful!
I recognize that this is a tough year for many so if you can donate a few dollars, that would be appreciated.
Please visit the Multiple Sclerosis Society website to make a donation in my name today:
